30 Day Song Challenge, Day 01

Fine. I'll do it. But I won't like it.

Day 01 – Your favorite song: today, anyway, it's Paul Simon: Kodachrome. ♫

From the 1973 album There Goes Rhymin' Simon, this song peaked at #2 on the Billboard US chart. It was never released as a single in the UK because the BBC refused to play a song that so prominently mentioned a trademarked name. At the behest of professional and amateur photographers around the world, Simon changed one of the song's lyrics in later live performances, from everything looks worse in black and white to everything looks better in black and white.

Ansel Adams would approve.

When I get frustrated because the Canucks come out flat -- you had a great seasion, but come ON, boys, it's your ELIMINATION game, how can you be so legless? -- I remember moments like this.

On the Easter long weekend, my wife and I drove out to Calgary, and I got to play ball hockey with my nephews. THIS is what the game's all about. I tell ya, these guys don't EVER play without passion.
